It's Not Over

We're down 3-1, but our spirits are high. We've been in this situation before, just last year. We just know that we have to go out there and play our game and if we do that, this team is capable of winning three in a row.

I was out of the lineup for Game 4, and I found out about it the day before right after the game. I was ready to go if they needed me. Even if it was the ninth inning and two outs, or any other point of the game, I was ready to go. Unfortunately, the game kind of got out of hand on us.

ellsbury.jpgLike I said after Game 3, I'm in a slump, but I feel like I'm close to coming out of it. But it's their decision to make. My job is to be ready to go every day and be prepared whether I'm in the starting lineup or I'm coming off the bench. That's the manager's decision.

I'm not sure if I'm starting in Game 5. I know they have the lefty going in Scott Kazmir. Maybe I'll find out later today or tomorrow. We'll see.

I know last year we had the opposite thing happen, and I came in for Coco Crisp in the ALCS. Why not? Coco has been swinging well so, like I said, it's their decision, and I'll be ready to go either way.

The season is not over yet. It's not over. We're still in this thing and we have a great opportunity. That's how we look at it. We're very positive. It's a must-win now but you have to stay relaxed. It's just exactly what we did last year. Stay relaxed and have confidence.

I don't see why we should change our approach now. It worked last year. The day off was nice, but nobody on this team would have minded if we got right back out there today.

We're looking forward to Game 5 and hopefully we'll be able to take that flight back to St. Petersburg.

Jacoby!
I hope you play in the game tomorrow night! I hope you guys play really well tomorrow and show Tampa why you guys are in the postseason!!!! GO RED SOX! :D

Don't worry Jacoby, we still believe in you and the team. Red sox fans are used to living on the edge with our backs against the wall. You were the spark that lit the team on fire at this point last year, hopefully you can do it again. Hope you're back in the line-up Thursday!!!!

Jacoby -

My wife and I love your attitude. And the way you play. And you know better than most the ups and downs of pro sports.

Keep giving 100%, and know that we are rooting for you!

I'll be rooting for you and the rest of the team. I believe you guys can win. So Good Luck!!

The Rex Sox nation is certainly pulling for you :-) I am especially, as I actually secured game 2 World Series tickets if Boston advances. I've been a Red Sox fan for quite some time, but have never seen a game at Fenway (my Dad converted to rooting for the team in 1958 when the Dodgers left for California). I live in Rochester NY, but thanks to mlb.tv, I've watched every game you guys have played since June. It has been a great run, and I'm not alone in hoping it can continue. Best to you, Jacoby!

Hi Jacoby! The Red Sox have always been able to pull out of a slump, and I know you guys will do what you need to do!You are a great asset to this ballclub with your attitude and your spirit not to mention your skills and speed!

Here's a little more inspiration for you...
A-Rod hasn't had spectacular post seasons and look at him (MVP multiple years and future Hall of Famer)!
This is your first real slump not even close to what he has gone through.
When you play tomorrow it will be over!!!
You'll hit a single in the 1st inning then steal a base then you'll be right back on track.
No worries…you'll rock it like you have all season.
You have a wonderful attitude and I hope others look up to you for putting it out there for us to read. You’re a bigger man than most.

hi jacoby!!!
wicked bummed u guys didnt win! thats ok! we have been in this situation b4, and look how it turned out! i kno we can bounce back from this and make it to the WS! its great that u all r able to keep such a positive attitude about everything (even ur batting slump, which u will come out of very soon). u r part of such a great team and all of u have great confidence in every game! which i think is y so many people enjoy watching! :) hope u have been enjoying ur day off, u guys deserve it! hope lowell recovers from his surgury so he will be all betta for spring training and for baseball next year!!! cant wait for game 4 2morrow night good luck to everybody and kick some tampa bay ***!!! hope ur in the lineup ;) love seeing u play! I LOVE U JACOBY!!! JUST KEEP DOIN THAT THING U DO! :)

Win or lose I'm still a RED SOX fan till the day I die. You can't let any emotions from any of the games effect the way you play , tommorrow, next week , next year, you play every game 1 game at a time !!. I am looking for a 7-3 win tommorrow night REDSOX OF COURSE !!!... Get some rest and see you guys tommorrow night .

Great attitude Jacoby! You guys can win tomorrow! You guys have all of Red Sox Nation backing you up. And even if the Fenway crowd isn't cheering as loud as they usually are(like the last two games...) remember that the fans watching at home are cheering too. My mom will be cheering all the way from the West coast. She's on a business trip in Washington. We're all cheering for you and we all believe in you guys!

Good luck tomorrow!

Much love,
Christine

hey jacoby...you are such a good sport about this whole situation...you really are a team player...just stay positive and i know you will come out of this slump shortly...i really am one of your biggest fans and i believe in you 100%...ive never loved anyone the way i love you...i truly am obsessed with you...i love you to death and i'll be rooting for you all the way...good luck my love!!!
carissa xoxo

kick some *** and take some cowbells

Absolutely right Jacoby!

I've followed this team for every game all season long and know exactly what you're all made of - determination, resourcefulness, talent and guts. This series isn't over by a long shot.

Stay relaxed, stay focused, and go out there and win one day at a time.

Here's to seeing our boys play into the weekend and beyond - GO SOX!!

Look Jacoby:)
Your team eliminated the #1 team, who had 100 wins. Yes, the LA Angels. #46, rocked the Redsox Nations sox off this time last year. They should have you at CF. With Crisps versitility, Francona should consider Crisp at SS. This is an elimination game. Drew should be the DH, rather than Papi. David is just not the same w/o Manny. Drew would be productive in the DH spot. He ain't as strong like before from his recent back injury. If Cash isn't the Starting Catcher, he can be the PR. Who knows!!!

I really admire your equanimity in the face of this slump...surely it will pass (with your work ethic, how could it not?!) Follow your own advice (relax! be confident!) and you'll be great. Slump or no slump, series or no series, we're behind you all the way!

I have
FAITH,
I BELIEVE.
Its best of 7 and its not over till one team wins 4.
I love the Red Sox team as much as I do my family,I will admit I am a die hard Red Sox fan and I am as passionate about my team that I support year after year win or lose.
It will never change, It will never falter. this is where my Faith comes in to play.I got tattooed (my first ever) with Red Sox on Sunday, the day after we lost game 3.The artist said to me,
"are you sure you want it on the top of your wrist in such a high profile place?" I said "yes" I love my team, I always have and I always will. Each day for me you ARE winners all of you.Not only for what you do on the field, but what you also do off the field.Keeping in mind there is still travel and practice and family and injuries all involved.I am PROUD of my team.
You are all winners no matter what! Now go crack them bats and do what you do best!

Jacoby,
I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but you need to hit to your strength. Hit the ball on the ground unless you get something up in the strike zone. I live in San Diego so I pretty much have Game Cast on the computer for the the Red Sox games and I couldn't believe how many infield hits you beat out at the end of the season. You should even try bunting for base hits, just don't show it too early (or bunt it into your face). If you guys win game 5, stop doing this blog...keep your mind on the game!! Not what you are going to write on the blog after the game. I am looking forward to watching you play.
-D in San Diego

Hi Jacoby You Guy's will win three in A row. Stay Loose and you guys will be fine. Jacoby tell the Guy's in the BullPen to do the same thing they did last year in Cleavland when they were druming. That was cool. Good Luck Tomorrow and if you don't win it is not the end of the world. Hope to get your autograph next year at Spring Trainning Jacoby and meet you. You are cool!!!!!!. I will be wearing a Gold Special Olympics Metal around my neck.

Jeff
Beaufort SC

Jacoby,
Hope the team gets as HOT as that Citgo sign!!! Game 5 belongs to Red Sox Nation!

Hey Jacoby,
Thanks so much for blogging. It is so easy to do when we are winning but so much more difficult when the chips are down! I admire your positive attitude and your powerful work ethic. I hope that Daiske will be at his best tomorrow and that you will get a great hit. In the event that things don't go our way, I just want to say...there comes a point where you have to tip your hat to the Rays and admit that they had a terrific team this year. There is no shame there. If this isn't our year...we'll come back stronger next year. Please don't stop blogging!!!!!!!!!! We love hearing your thoughts. Good luck tomorrow! Lisa

you all are going to be freakin' rad tomorrow no matter what happens. as you can probably tell already, we're all rooting for you guys and behind you all 1oo% :D

oh, &all my Tampa Bay fan friends have been raggin' on me since you're in that lame slump, and i'll be like "just 'cause you're not super awesome like him doesn't mean you need to be jealous, gosh. D:" haha. just thought i should add that. x]

Jacoby,

Ability is what you are capable of,
Motivation determines what you will do,
Attitude determines how well you will do it.

When reading your comments I know that your self-efficacy is high and your attitude is - well incredible is an understatement. It's a tough spot to be in but you know your abilities better than anyone else and realize that this is just a moment and it will pass. The game will come to you when it is time and not a minute before. You guys will pull this out (I have total faith in that) and make us ALL remember why we cheer for the Sox in the first place. I love watching you play and hope to see #46 back in the lineup Thursday. I have plans to wear my player tee with your number on it Friday.....Take Care, Good Luck Thursday and God Bless. Red Sox all the way!!!!!!

-EDW, cheering all the way in Plano, TX

You have such a positive attitude, Jacoby!! My whole family is rooting for you and the Red Sox to go into the game tomorrow and kick butt! We know you can do it! Don't let those Rays get in your head, you guys have been here before and know what you have to do! Good Luck in the game tomorrow and we are all cheering for you in North Carolina!!! Go Boston!!

Hello Jacoby,
It is great to read a baseball blog that is so inspiring instead of mean spirited. They are responding to your great attitude for the game and your great abilities (and some to your looks!) You have great fans behind you.

Win tomorrow and Godspeed.

Hey Jacoby,

It's comes with a sigh of relief to hear your positive outlook of this upcoming game. I'm live in San Francisco, CA and am one of 2 Sox fans in my small company - we avidly support the team regardless of what happens.

Granted, you may not read this response but we have faith in the future of the Red Sox. I'm so excited to see you play and I always anticipate your performance.

Look forward to seeing you in the upcoming game!

Jacoby, you are a terrific player. You show up to play the game no matter what. You're like a young boy playing to impress his coach and his parents. You do what's asked of you and enjoy your job and how fortunate to be a ball player. Too many players lose that eagerness or just don't have it, often times too concerned about the money and the hype. It's disappointing to see players not truly play the game and you are the opposite of that and that's exciting for a fan to see.

Keep up the great work and the wonderful attitude. Remember every day is a gift and play to impress your coach and your parents. Thanks for bringing that back to the game.

Hey Jacoby, you're a great player. I love you spirit and i can tell you love the game. I know you guy can come back just like last year and take the world series back to back. I'm a huge fan of you and the Red Sox, i'll be praying for you guys. RED SOX NATION is behind you guys even in Omaha (home of the College World Series). We don't doubt our team.

Good Luck and God Bless

hey Jacoby! i was pretty bummed you guys lost last night, but there's still a chance to win this thing!
like some people say: "Gotta Believe in Boston!"
i strongly believe you guys can truly come back and win this.
I am one of the few Red Sox fans at my high school, and i'll be rooting for you guys!
win or lose, i'll be a Red Sox fan forever! :]
good luck, i hope you're in tomorrow's line up for Game 5!
love you Jacoby!
-Alyssa

way to fake it jacoby, I'm sure its not that easy to be positive when the team your playng is faster more atheletic, more unified, better pitching 1-11, better defense, better home field advantage and is not cursed. but do you best maybe it will all work out - go mcain go red sox and go patriots quarterback what ever his name is.

We have proven time and time again that the B on the cap stands for something much more than just the name of our city, it stands for BELIEVE. Its what keeps us fans hanging on and sitting in the stands despite a lop-sided score, its what keeps us watching faithfully from a thousand miles away while living in our opposition's home turf, its what keeps you playing 9 innings despite the odds. Come together as you have done the past four years, united for one purpose, to prove to the world that you BELIEVE and CAN achieve what many call the impossible (of course we know better than that), get up when we're down.
Go Sox!!

-Rudy

Hi Jacoby
The Red Sox have something no other team in the MLB has. Passion. Year in and year out, regardless of changes to the line up, regardless of injuries & departures, the passion remains. That is what will get you to the world series, just like in 04 & 07. I believe. We believe.

I am living in Southern California and originally from Boston-born and raised. I count the days each season to see you guys play the Loser Angels of Anaheim and am thrilled you will play 2 series with them next season out here.

After you win the world series, how will I occupy my time until next Spring?????

The Red Sox Nation believes in you. We are behind you 100%. Go kick some Tampa Bay butt.

I want to belive, in you, Jacoby, in all the red sox, all the fans arround the world, everybody cheers tomorrow and the red power will be comback.
One more time...
Lets go redsox
Lets go redsox
Lets go redsox!!!!!!!

Send back the series to TAMPA!!!!!!!!

DICE-K will do it!!!!!!!!

WE BELIEVE!!!!!!

LET'S GO RED SOX!!!!!!!!!

To Jacoby and all The Red Sox players, take your time in the game, take deep breaths and make every play count. Win or lose I'm proud of you guys. We finally got ahead of the Yankees lol...I hope all teams get ahead of the Yankees lol...Just play baseball guys. GOOD LUCK!!! COME BACK BOSTON!!! NEVER GIVE UP!!!

This team is down but certainly not out. However you all need to bring your passion to tonight's game and remind the crowd why you're out there - to play a game you love and we love to watch. We (the fans) all live vicariously through you, the lucky few, who actually get to put on the uniform and head onto our beloved field. So shake off the bad mojo and bring the joy back to Fenway!

Hey Jacoby,

Best of luck to the team tonight and hopefully we'll see the series continue in Tampa. I would love to see you play but as you say, it's their decision. Of course it is impossible to come out of a slump if you don't get a chance to try. I mean, the odds just have to be in your favor at this point don't they:)? Keep that great attitude and let's head for game 6!!

All of Red Sox Nation is supporting you and the rest of the Red Sox. Good luck tonight, and good luck in Games 6 and Seven.

Jacoby! i love you so much! good luck tonite and i hope you guys kick butt and show that you can be down that many games and come back from it! and i love your attitude about starting! you are my favorite player of all time! again, good luck and like mr. jeff robinson said Red Sox Nation is supporting you guys like none other. You guys are fighters and i have faith in you.

I BELIEVE IN YOU AND THE ENTIRE TEAM! I never stop having faith in what I knew you could do. When you were in that slump in the middle of the season, I kept telling people that it would only be a matter of time before you got out of it to show people what you can really do. I now shove your thirteen game hitting steak in everyone's faces. We all know you have what it takes! Get us some more free taco's and steal a base in one of the next three games! Win or lose, true Sox fans are gonna stick behind you all no matter what.

Jacoby, I feel it too - you're ready for a couple of good hits and a stolen base or two. Then Dustin and Papi and Youk will be there to drive you around.

All of us in Oregon are rooting for you and Jed to pound some hits and snuff the Rays' bats tonight!

Jacoby: We know that when the going gets tough, the RED Sox get GOING! It doesn't matter if your in the starting line up or cheering from the dugout, every guy on the team contributes. Stay possitive. " Just a little hit!" is what we say at home. (Down the right field line is always good!)
Go SOX!

Do you guys feel it?

We fans do. We're here to support you all no matter what, but I believe we're going to be cheering you guys on for another few weeks.

One pitch at a time, one at bat at a time, one game at a time, one win at a time.

LET'S GO SOX!!!

Just like you said, the Red Sox have been here before. It's no big deal we just have to stay relaxed and calm. We can do it, especially with the help of Dice-k. Red Sox Nation is behind you, even some of the Yankee fans in my school are supporting you and the Red Sox(some loyal fans huh). You can do it! GOOD LUCK!

I hope You play today. I think the Red Sox will win tonight and the nest two games. You are a great player when your in the starting lineup or coming off the bench. GoodLuck!!!!

One thing is for sure, if you win tonight, the momentum swings in favor of the Sox and we all know what happens when we get the momentum going.

Good luck and we're all rooting for you, Jacoby! Even if you don't start, I'm sure we'll see you in the game pinch running and stealing a base or two. Looking back at 2004, you cannot deny the importance of a stolen base!

go for it!

Hey Jacoby!

I really hope you play tonight! It will make my day!! Keep your head held high tonight and you'll all do fine... you always do! :)

Go get 'em Jacoby!

XOX Kaleigh, Nicole, and Lauren!

JE,

Your faster than lightning! We all know you and the rest of the team have what it takes to get another world series ring.

GO SOX!!!

Jacoby: Good luck tonight. i hope that you start! i haven't given up hope although the last two games were almost unbearable to watch. However, I am a sox fan to the end and I believe that you guys will bang it out and win the next 3! Good Luck! Nicole

Thats the biggest thing that you should tell yourself! Its not over until its over. Never give up and never say never. I dont know how you guys feel, but i belive that the Red Sox can do it, and make it through. And i really hope that Jacoby plays :]

okay for the redsoxs pitchers may you throw strikes impossible to hit or they make for an easy out .for the hitters be the ball and let them fly where they cant be caught . i love you all and want to see you in the ws after all you are the ws champs need i say more go get em guys

Jacoby is not on the lineup again?

Sox Game 5 lineup
1. Coco Crisp CF
2. Dustin Pedroia 2B
3. David Ortiz DH
4. Kevin Youkilis 3B
5. Jason Bay LF
6. J.D. Drew RF

Ellsbury, You are amazing. I love that you continue to blog with such a positive attitude and that you are ready to play at any minute. It proves that you are a true team player and I can't wait to see you on the field again. Go Red Sox!!!

Hey Jacoby -
Hang in there - not sure I agree with Tito tonight - I respect he's the manager - and I think he's terrific - but I do thnk at 286 lifetime you deserve the shot. Here's hoping you get a pinch hit opportunity and the bat comes back to you. You're the future my friend and i do look forward to watching you for years to come.
cdbay

Hey Jacoby, Best of luck tonight...whether it's a pinch hit, or you get to pinch run...I know you'll give it your best...It's been a fun ride this year watching you....whichever way things turn out!!! GO SOX!!!!

Good Luck Guys!
We can do this!
Jacoby will miss u tonight, but have a gut feeling you will prob still be in there.runnin, jus like flash gordon,u may just be the difference.
I also want to say my prayers are with Mikey and and his family may he have a speedy recovery from his surgery.
Oh, and did Mike Timlin get my pirate flag? pretty cool eh?
hope you all found a good place to hang it.

BLACKPEARL BULLPEN!!!! LETS ROCK THEIR SOX OFF BOYS!!!!

I definitely think you guys can send this series back to St. Pete. A little worried about what'll happen there, though...Just keep on fighting.

You guys can do it! Just keep doing what you've been doing all season and beat 'em up tonight. You all have what it takes to come out and win three games in a row. I'll be watching!!! You've got a great attitude about this, Jacoby. I really admire that.

Love the positive outlook! My theory is that the Sox need to come from behind in the ALCS in order to sweep in the World Series! GO SOX!

thanks Jacoby for blogging practically everyday and keeping such a good attitude! you're a real inspiration to all of us. i hope you get to play tonight and are finally able to get that hit we've all been waiting for, i know you can do it.
good luck tonight! let's hope Dice-K is the same guy he was in Game 1!

they don't call us the Fenway Faithful for nothing, we still believe!

xoxo
Briana

Hey Jacoby,

You're exaxtly right. Don't give up. Come out tonight with the bat blazin if you're in the lineup I know you can do it. You're like my #1 fan dude. Play like you did in the playoffs last year and we're gonna repeat for sure

ellsbury, as much as i love all of u, you say all of u have the spirit and positive attitude, but i gotta be honest, it is NOT showing on the field via the TV ok. u all look like ur beat up, given up, and don't wanna win. i'm a die-hard red sox fan and will be till the day i die, but if gotta tell u right now, this game 5 is NOT the same postseason team we had last year in 07 - it's just not! but i will always be a red sox fan always, but let's take our licks and go home this year. we got lotsa youth this year, and vets who know how to play the game to lead y'all, but we need time to heal all the injuries and if y'all win 2nite, i'll freakin eat my RS cap. i love ya all.

as another red sox fan said tues nite, you guys are stinkin it up...and you're ALL letting the rays freakin take u down. why i don't know but it's happening. i would've thought kaz would've choked again but he didn't and i would've thought dice would've shut 'em down and get us back to tpa but ain't lookin like it. what's up w/ u guys this year dude?

Wow. Like watching a train wreck. I'm sick to my stomach but I can't turn away. I sincerely hope you all feel the same way. You should be embarassed. Wait til' next year though!

Great regular season but we are simply being outplayed by the Rays. Makes me want to throw sh** but just as in years past it doesn't change the outcome. My flat panel screen will survive another year.
Nice work Pedroia. Unfortunately you couldn't carry the whole team. Nice work Bay (when you weren't chasing low outside pitches). Big P, we still love ya even when you're trying too hard to shoot the moon. Youk; well, you've had a tough run of late but you're awesome so we can live with it.
Jacoby, you've given plenty and are endeared by fans for your outstanding talents. The slump will be a part of history. Kotsay; gotta love how proud and excited you are to be on the team. He shows it every play with great talent.
Oh look, another hit to center field (Tek) landing in Upton's glove). How about some hits on the friggin ground!!!!! Everybody doesn't need to hit a home run for pete sake! And another hit to Upton (Kotsay). Arrrrrrrrgh!
Timlin; sorry man but it's time to go. I break out in a huge sweat everytime you take the mound. Loved watching you over the years but now I can't tell if you're going to give up the lead or not. As for most pitching in the post season; lets just say way too many high hangers over the plate. Oh look. Pedroia with an RBI in the 7th. Like I said; you can't carry the whole team. Lets see if they get pumped up. Holy SH**! Big PAPI with a 3 RUN SHOT! Gonna drag this one out with a fight. My ulcer grows but it's not bleeding quite yet. 7th inning over with a fly ball from Youk. Keep on keep'n on. Another Sox fan riding the emotional roller coaster. Lots more to say about the rest of the team but it's time to focus on tonights possible comeback.

YEAH RED SOX!

Looking forward to seeing YOU play in GAME 6, GAME 7, and the WORLD SERIES!

ok gotta eat my hat!!!!!!!!!!! red sox, ya had me on the edge of my seat (my 2nd postseason w/ ya)...my apologies and i was literally blown away at ur hunger to win and take back this series - WOWOWOWOWOW!!! i'm honored & damn proud to be a red sox fan...thank u cash for starting things off, big papi, pd, youk, coco, jd, fenbay, lowrie and pap and justin...notice the looks on the rays faces now...yeah we baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!

go red sox in game 6! and even w/o manny, we're still in our series - manny and his team NOT! so we're doin fine on our own.

Unbelievable.

Jacoby~ We were sad that your name was missing from the lineup, however, Coco did good and.....we KNOW you enjoyed that game as much as we did!! We are glad Schill threw out the first pitch.....it was definately "good luck".....you guys are great and we (my 7 children and I) have enjoyed listening to all the games!! We look forward to seeing you in games 6 & 7 and then back at Fenway in the WS (we're looking forward to more free TACOS)!!!!! Kristianna (age 4) will be proudly wearing her Ellsbury jersey tomorrow!!!!! We love you guys.......

The Paull crew (Susanna>Karissa>Caleb>Julianna>Micah>Kristianna>
Daniel and mom)

We WON game 5!!!!!! That was a great game! You're really awesome! Even when you aren't playing!! Wow! We love watching you play and you're fun to watch when you're on the bench, too. When you aren't in the lineup, it's a great comfort to us out here watching that you are there should Coco or Bay or JD need to leave the game. I'm fairly sure Tito and many others feel that way, too. Everyone has commented on your great attitude, but I'd like to add that when you came to the team, the team attitude made a shift towards a more consistently positive one as well. So, even when you are on the bench, you make a really big difference to the team. I think this year's team is truly awesome. And you're the best!
xo

Jacoby: What a game! I couldn't believe it - 7 runs and come back to win 8 - 7. You guys proved two things tonite: 1. You don't need Manny to win,
2. You are still the World champions.
And that everyone contributes to the game, all those hits when it was needed. That is what makes TB successful - everyone contributes and you beat them at their own game.

I only became a BoSox fan because of you and must say I was disappointed that you were not playing. I almost went out to a movie and I thought what the heck I have watched them this far I will continue to watch and cheer. A little disappointed in some of the earlier "fan" posts when you guys were losing. Where is their faith?? Hope you play in TB. Good luck - ya-all on on a roll!! Go Red Sox!

JE, I'll be in attendance for game 6 in Tampa. Stay prepared, be ready to contribute, and I'll buy you a beer after you guys post the W.

FYI: I'm drinking the beer even though I bought it for you. You'll have another game to play on Sunday and we can't have you hanging out in bars drinking beers with drunk red sox fans.

First comment, life-time fan....
Almost all of my family members (including my 2 and 4 year-old boys) are die-hard Red Sox fans. This is just a big, fat huge thank you for all of the good times, whether it's watching you all come back from a 7-run deficit, monkey around in the dugout, or cheer on each other and the crowd. You are just the greatest group of baseball players out there!!!

Ellsbury -
Missed you in centerfield Thursday, Hope to see you out there tonight.
You guys are inspirational. You never give up!
Go Red Sox!!
